The Wingman is an add-on for people who date on Flirtual, a dating site for people who meet in virtual reality. Every evening it goes through the profiles the site suggests, likes or passes at a person's pace, and brings you matches with three reply ideas. You still do the talking.

It runs on your own computer, next to Godspeed Mission Control. That computer must be on at 18:30 or the time you choose; if it was off, the session starts later that day.

What it never does

#
  • Send a message you did not pick or dictate.
  • Write to anyone outside the dating site, or post anything about your dating.
  • Keep the profiles it reads in your mission control folder. They stay in a private folder of its own for six weeks, or the time you choose (what it keeps).
  • Work on a site whose terms forbid bots, unless you chose that after Godspeed told you what they say.

Install it

You need a Flirtual account, Chrome or Edge, and Godspeed with its AI connection working. The Wingman uses that same connection without another subscription or login. It is free; AI usage counts against your existing allowance or API bill.

  1. Open PowerShell on Windows, or a terminal on a Mac or Linux computer.

  2. Paste the line for your computer and press Enter. On Windows:

    PowerShell

    On a Mac or Linux:

    Terminal
    curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/MichaelZelbel/godspeed-wingman/main/install.sh | bash
  3. The setup opens in your browser. Answer its pages, about ten minutes in all. On Log in once, click Open the Wingman's browser and log in to Flirtual.

  4. On Your existing AI connection, keep Use Godspeed's existing AI connection and click Test it. If its shared model command is missing, update Godspeed and click Look again.

  5. On the last page, click Start my first practice round.

  6. In a terminal, run godspeed-wingman check. It checks every part and says how to fix what fails.

Train it and use it

#

At first every like or pass waits for your answer. Once you agree with 9 of its last 10 picks, it decides alone, and you can review its choices. Answer in Godspeed's chat:

  • agree, or disagree, they only want friends: your reason teaches it most.
  • send 2: sends the second reply idea.
  • put Robin on my watch list: it asks you before it likes or passes anyone with that name.
  • practice, review, pause, resume.

Or use the buttons on the Wingman's own page: run godspeed-wingman desk.

If the AI connection fails and you have no backup AI, the Wingman pauses and warns you. It never turns a failed request into a like or pass. Ask Godspeed to repair the connection.

To update it, run the install line again.

Remove it

#

Run godspeed-wingman uninstall. It asks whether to delete every profile and answer it kept. Delete the routines/wingman folder (your preferences and watch list), and any list of likes and passes under Collections in the notebook, yourself.
