Keep a headache diary

Tell Godspeed about a headache in your own words, and later ask how often they come and how many painkiller days you had.

On this page
  1. Note a headache
  2. Ask about the pattern
  3. What it does and does not do

Nothing to set up: a Headaches tracker appears on the Trackers shelf in Collections with your first entry.

Note a headache

#
  1. Say when it started and what else you know:

headache since 6:30, right side, pounding, 6 of 10

    A reply such as:

Tracked: since 06:30, still going (5 h 54 min), pain 6, right, pounding.

Without a pain number, it asks once: "How strong, 1 to 10?"

  2. Say what you took, if anything: took two painkillers 20 minutes ago.

  3. When it is gone, say headache over.

A headache that is already over fits in one message: "I had a headache this morning from 6:30 to 9:30". To remove an entry made by mistake, say delete that.

Ask about the pattern

#
  • How often did I have headaches?
  • Any pattern?
  • How many painkiller days this month?

The answer is a few lines with the numbers. With fewer than ten headaches, it calls a pattern a first look, and it never says one thing causes another.

What it does and does not do

#
  • Pain is only ever a number you gave.

  • It gives no advice and no tips.

  • One exception: from the 10th painkiller day in 30 days, it adds this line, at most once a week:

That is painkiller day 10 in 30. On 10 or more days a month, combination painkillers can start causing headaches themselves.
