Chat with Godspeed

The notebook is the web page where you talk to Godspeed and see what it knows. Its chat works the same on every installation.

1. Open your notebook.
2. Click Chat with Godspeed on the Dashboard. On most other pages, click the round chat button at the bottom right, or press Ctrl+Shift+K (Cmd+Shift+K on a Mac).
3. Type into Ask Godspeed... and press Enter. Shift+Enter starts a new line.

Godspeed answers under your message. The conversation is saved and still there after a reload. For the chat as a full page, open Godspeed chat in the sidebar, under System.

Open the chat from inside a note, a person's page or a collection, and Godspeed talks about that page. Inside a collection it can add, change and search its items. Each of these places keeps a conversation of its own.

1. Click + (Add files) under the message box.
2. Choose up to 10 files, 20 MB together: pictures (PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF), PDFs, or text files such as txt, md, csv and json.
3. Type what you want done with them and press Enter.

A PDF needs readable text and at most 100 pages. A scanned PDF has no text: attach pictures of its pages instead.

1. Click Dictate message, the microphone under the box, and speak for up to 60 seconds.
2. Click it again to stop. Your installation turns your words into text itself, and the text appears in the box.
3. Read it over and press Enter to send.

Read last reply aloud reads Godspeed's last answer to you.

On a server installed with the one-line command, and only there, you can also write to your own bot in Telegram. It is the same assistant, with the same notebook and files, and it answers only you.

The results of its daily work, your reminders and coaching talks arrive there by themselves. Short commands that start with a slash, such as /new, work in Telegram: see Chat commands.

Send it a voice note and it answers with a voice note and the same text: see Talk to it with voice notes.

Update Godspeed Mission Control first if you installed an older release.

• In Telegram: send /new. The conversation starts empty, and your notebook, goals and files stay as they are.
• In the notebook: click Clear conversation at the top of the chat, or the bin in the small window. Your next message starts a fresh conversation in that chat. Your saved notes, goals, files and changes already made stay as they are. Other chats keep their own conversations.
