  3. Check that it works
  4. Send Bit or Mochi instead
  5. Remove it

The sticker add-on lets your assistant send you a sticker in Telegram, such as a "done" sticker when it finished a job. It works on a server installed with the one-line command, the installation that has Telegram. It is free.

You can add the three sets to your own Telegram too: Speedy, Bit and Mochi.

Install it

#

The add-on is a plugin for Hermes, which runs your assistant inside the server's container.

  1. Open a terminal on the server as root (Server commands). As another user, put sudo in front of each docker command.

  2. Go to the folder the one-line installer made:

    Terminal
    cd /opt/godspeed-mission-control
  3. Install the plugin:

    Terminal
docker compose exec -u hermes godspeed /opt/hermes/bin/hermes plugins install MichaelZelbel/hermes-telegram-stickers/hermes-plugin --enable

Skip the two steps it prints afterwards. The steps below replace them.

  4. Restart the container. Your notebook and your bot are away for a moment.

    Terminal
    docker compose restart godspeed

Tell your assistant when to send one

#

Your assistant sends a sticker when it ends a reply with a tag, so tell it when.

  1. In the notebook, open Godspeed's brain in the sidebar.

  2. At Extra instructions, click Add, or Edit if you already have some.

  3. Write when to use which sticker, then click Save:

When you finish something I asked for, end your reply with [[sticker:done]].
When you need my yes on something, end it with [[sticker:copy]].

Every set has fifteen tags, such as done, copy, onit, found, oops and morning. The add-on's page lists them all.

Check that it works

#

In Telegram, send /new, so your assistant reads its new instructions. Then ask it for something small. When it is done, you get the sticker, then the reply.

If no sticker comes, Hermes' error log says what to fix. From /opt/godspeed-mission-control:

Terminal
docker compose exec -u hermes godspeed /opt/hermes/bin/hermes logs errors

Send Bit or Mochi instead

#

Run this from the same folder for Bit. Write mochi for Mochi.

Terminal
docker compose exec -u hermes godspeed sh -c 'printf "\nSTICKERS_SET=bit\n" >> /opt/data/full-candidate/hermes/.env'

Remove it

#

Run this, then restart:

Terminal
docker compose exec -u hermes godspeed /opt/hermes/bin/hermes plugins remove hermes-telegram-stickers

Then take the sticker lines out of Extra instructions and send /new in Telegram, or the raw tags show up in your replies.
