Godspeed Mission Control

Astronauts have mission control. Now you can have yours.

I built mine out of AI. This is it, free.

A personal AI that knows you, keeps your notes and works on your goals every day. It lives in a folder you own, so you can talk to it in the Claude app, Codex, VS Code or Telegram. You stay the captain.

Windows and Linux beta. The Mac route is experimental. The software is free; your AI service may charge. The guide walks you through installation and connecting your AI.

For your headaches: The Drive, this episode. Start at minute 51. You mentioned them in March.

A real message. I had mentioned the headaches once, months earlier. Nobody asked it to look. Two and a half minutes of it working.

What it does

Three things, every day, without being asked.

  1. Knows you

Tell it about your deadlines, your people and the questions you keep meaning to look into. It reads what you told it before it helps you, so you explain each thing once.

  2. Works on a schedule

It researches your goals, prepares your day's work and reminds you of deadlines. On your computer, it works while that computer is awake. On a server, it can work while you sleep.

  3. Checks in with you

On a server, it can message you through Telegram when a check-in or reminder is due. You choose what it may send.

Not tied to one app.
Talk to it in the Claude app, Codex, VS Code or Telegram. Same assistant, same memory.
Not locked in.
Its notebook is Markdown files, so Obsidian or any editor opens it.
Not a cloud service.
A folder on your own computer, and a server only if you rent one.

The book

Want help making it part of your life? That is the book.

Teach It Once is a guided journey for using Godspeed Mission Control in your own life. It helps you choose work worth handing over, teach it your background, preferences and limits, and keep the jobs that give you lasting value. Forty-two short chapters, from a first sitting with nothing to install to the jobs that run on a schedule while you are away.

Installing and running it is free, and the guide explains every step. The book is for what comes after: deciding what it should do for you.

Who built it

Michael Zelbel

IT consultant by day, at the point where AI meets large organisations. By night I build practical AI systems and give the useful ones away. Godspeed Mission Control has run my own working life every day since April 2026. Everything on this page is what it does for me, not what it might do one day.

Godspeed, captain.
