# Skills that come with it

Canonical: https://godspeedmissioncontrol.com/guide/skills-list

Every new mission control has these 67 skills, whichever way you install it. Quoted words are things you can say to start one. "Needs" names anything beyond your AI account. [Skills](/guide/skills) explains how Godspeed picks one.

## Goals and the daily round

These six run by themselves once you have a goal ([How the daily work runs](/guide/daily-work)).

- `goal-research`: keeps a one-page research brief per goal, every night at 00:15, or when you say `research my goal <name> now`. Reads the open web.
- `next-action`: makes the day's one decision about your goals at 05:30 and puts the steps that need your yes on one list.
- `work-item`: does one piece of the chosen work at 10:00 and 16:00, such as a research note or a draft. Writes only inside your mission control folder, except to repair Godspeed's own programs and scheduled jobs on that computer. It keeps a copy of each file it changes there.
- `due`: deadlines and targets, with reminders at 08:00. "The car inspection is due by May."
- `coach`: coaching talks and daily habits, and the weekly check-in on Sundays at 18:00. "A weekly health talk on Sundays at seven."
- `coach-prep`: prepares each coaching talk the night before, at 03:00, from your goal, its research and what changed. "Prepare Sunday's weekly check-in."

## Everyday helpers

- `context-setup`: the getting-to-know-you chat. Send the word `context`.
- `keep-a-note`: files a note in your notebook. "Make a note", "write this down".
- `talk-about`: topics to raise with someone. "Talk to Alex about the trip."
- `retrieve-memory`: finds an exact fact you told it, with the passage it came from.
- `memory-audit`: checks what it remembers against dated evidence and fixes what you allow, keeping the earlier version.
- `grill-me`: asks one hard question at a time about a plan and saves your answers in the `inbox` folder. "Grill me on this plan."
- `research-watch`: keeps one question open and reports only what is new. "Keep researching this."
- `watch`: keeps an eye on a page or a product and stays quiet until something meaningful changes. "Keep an eye on this page."
- `weekly-review`: files the notes in your `inbox` folder, asks about unclear ones and writes one line per goal. "Run a weekly review for me every Friday."
- `morning-brief`: writes your morning brief. "Switch on my morning brief."
- `subscription-review`: keeps a list of the AI plans you pay for and what each costs. It never cancels a plan.
- `audit`: checks your whole setup and ends with three ranked fixes. Runs when you ask.

## Tracking and health

- `tracker`: every message that starts with "track", except "track journal", which goes to your journal. "Track belly 92 cm." It hands habits, headaches, the period and food to their own skills.
- `food-tracker`: "Track breakfast, two eggs and a slice of rye bread." Uses a food table downloaded once, and Open Food Facts for barcodes and brands.
- `cycle-tracker`: "Track period", "track cramps". Forecasts after two complete cycles. Not for contraception, trying to conceive or a diagnosis.
- `headache-tracker`: "Headache since 6:30, right side, pounding", then "headache over". Shows patterns and painkiller days.
- `interstitial-journal`: your work journal. Start a message with "journal", "j:", "log:", "Tagebuch" or "track journal" and say what you start or finished.
- `charm-challenge`: 21 days of charming your AI into the result instead of arguing with it. "Start the Charm Challenge." It counts the days for you, puts one line in your morning brief and shows a card on your Trackers shelf. When you vent at an AI it asks once whether to start over, and it never starts over without your yes. "Charm slip" starts over straight away, "how is my Charm Challenge?" says where you are, and "stop the Charm Challenge" ends it.

## Writing and thinking

- `strip-ai-tells`: edits text that sounds machine-written and keeps your meaning. "Make this sound human."
- `book-title-creator`: creates, compares and improves titles and subtitles for a nonfiction book.
- `book-title-strategist`: generates and tests titles and subtitles for a nonfiction book.
- `video-hooks`: the first sentence or two of a video, written from a script you already have.
- `web-design`: builds or reviews a web page.
- `excalidraw-diagram`: a diagram you can keep editing in Excalidraw, a free drawing website.

## Pictures

These make pictures through kie.ai, a paid picture service. Needs: your own kie.ai key, set as the environment variable the skill names.

- `social-visuals`: a picture for a social media post. Asks you to approve a spending limit first.
- `excalidraw-visuals`: a hand-drawn style picture, saved as a PNG.
- `nano-banana-images`: a guide to writing picture prompts, read by the two skills above.
- `scroll-craft`: a landing page that moves as you scroll. Needs the key only to make pictures.

## Email

- `connect-email`: connects your Gmail so Godspeed can read it and save drafts. "Connect Gmail for me." Needs a Google app password ([Let it read your Gmail](/guide/email)).

## Video

Needs: the video add-on on your own computer. For captions and a vertical cut, ask Godspeed or type the add-on's own commands ([Finish your videos with captions](/guide/video#use-it)).

- `video-finishing`: captions, a vertical cut and title cards. "Caption my clip and make a vertical version for Reels."
- `hyperframes`: hands an animated video job to the right skill below.
- `general-video`: longer or freeform videos, reels and montages.
- `motion-graphics`: a short animated title, number, chart or map.
- `music-to-video`: a video cut to the beat of a music track.
- `pr-to-video`: a video that explains a code change on GitHub. Also needs GitHub's `gh` command.
- `product-launch-video`: a promo video for a product or a website.
- `faceless-explainer`: an explainer video made from text, with no footage.
- `slideshow`: a slide deck you click through.
- `talking-head-recut`: titles and graphics over a video of someone talking.
- `embedded-captions`: designed captions on a video of someone talking.
- `remotion-to-hyperframes`: converts a video made with Remotion, another video tool.
- `figma`: brings a design from Figma into a video. Also needs a Figma token.
- `media-use`: finds or makes music, sound, pictures and voices for a video. Can use your own ElevenLabs, Gemini, OpenAI, Groq or HeyGen key.
- `hyperframes-core`, `hyperframes-animation`, `hyperframes-audio`, `hyperframes-cli`, `hyperframes-creative`, `hyperframes-keyframes`, `hyperframes-registry`, `gsap-core`, `gsap-timeline`: guides the video skills read along the way.

`motion-graphics` and `product-launch-video` can also use a Gemini key. Every key here except Figma's is optional.

`video-captions` burns captions without the add-on. Needs: Python and some extra Python packages. If you do not program, use `video-finishing`.

## Built for other setups

These come with every installation and do nothing unless you ask for them.

- `daily-brief`, `morning-note`, `mc-brief-operations`: another way of writing a morning brief. For yours, use `morning-brief`.
- `lead`: prepares one public post or message from your real results. Needs a plan for public posting that this guide does not cover.
- `mc-radar`: looks for one new idea about building personal AI systems.
- `browser-post`: posts a job queued in Planino, a content-planning service. This guide does not cover it.
- `move-godspeed`: moves your mission control to another folder on a Windows computer, keeping every copy ([Another folder on the same computer](/guide/move#another-folder-on-the-same-computer)).
- `use-my-computer`: would let Godspeed use a browser on your own computer, with your own logins. This is not available yet. Ask Godspeed and it says so, and offers its own browser for public pages instead.
- `phone-errands`: makes a phone call through the [phone add-on](/guide/add-ons#phone-calls-mc-phone), which works on a Linux computer or a server without Docker. Everywhere else it gets the call ready for you to make yourself.

## Extra skills you can add

These eight are in the `skills` folder of Godspeed Mission Control's [public repository](https://github.com/MichaelZelbel/godspeed-mission-control/tree/main/skills), not in your installation. Ask for one by name: "Add the plan-my-day skill" ([Add a skill](/guide/add-a-skill)).

- `answer-email-my-way`: drafts an email reply from what your notebook knows about the sender. It never sends.
- `plan-my-day`: plans a day around fixed commitments, priorities and the time you have.
- `prep-me-for-a-meeting`: a meeting brief from recorded facts, with assumptions marked.
- `draft-my-update`: a status update from real progress, problems and next steps.
- `check-my-email`: checks an email you wrote before you send it. Fixes only real mistakes, keeps your words and lists every change.
- `summarize-for-me`: turns a long email or document into a short brief of actions, money and deadlines.
- `prepare-a-decision`: a recommendation from the evidence, with the alternatives and one safe next step.
- `make-a-visual`: a picture for something you wrote. Needs a picture service such as kie.ai. Its file has no header, so ask Godspeed to give it a name and description when it saves it.
